On putting x as 3 in the equation we get..

8-2p+15=0

p=23/2

Since, product of roots are 15/2

Since, one is 3,

So, other will be...

5/2

Hope this helps

Answer:

Roots are 2.5 and 3

P = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

Product of roots = c/a

Where c= 15 and a = 2

3*x = 15/2

x = 15/2*3

x = 2.5

Sum of roots = -b/a

Where b = -p and a = 2

3 + 2.5 = -(-p)/2

5.5 = p/2

p = 11
