Here , a = k-1

           b = -10

           c = 3

Product of roots, α and β is

αβ = \frac{c}{a}

αβ = \frac{3}{k-1} -------------- (i)

we know that,

α=\frac{1}{\beta }  or αβ = 1 ------------ (ii)

Comparing (i) and (ii) ,

αβ = \frac{3}{k-1} =1

3 = k-1 or k = 3+1 = 4

Hence k = 4
