Answer:

2x^2 + ax + 6 = 0

2(2)^2 + a(2) + 6 = 0

2(4) + 2a + 6 = 0

8 + 2a + 6 = 0

2a + 14 = 0

2a = -14

a = -7

Step-by-step explanation:

z {x}^{2}  + ax + 6 = 0  \\ z {2}^{2}  + 2a+ 6 = 0 \\ z {2}^{2}  + 6 =   - 2a  \\ 4z   + 6  = -  2a  \\  \frac{4z   + 6 }{ - 2}  =  a \\ a =  - 2z + 3 \\ a = 3 - 2z

.... Hope this will help...
