If one root of the quadratic equation 6x^2-x-k=0, then find the value of k​

Answer:

6x²-x-k=0

6x²-(6-k)x-k=0

6x²-6x+kx-k=0

6x(x-1)+k(x-1)=0

so

6x+k=0

as x=1 then putting value of x

6+k=0

k=-6
