if one root of the quadratic equation x^2 - 11x + k = 0 is 9 find the value of k

Hi ,

It's given that

9 is one root of x² - 11x + k = 0 ,

Put x = 9 in the equation ,

9² - 11 × 9 + k = 0

81 - 99 + k = 0

- 18 + k = 0

k = 18

x^2-11x+k=0
and X=9
put X=9 we get
9^2-11(9)+k=0
81-99+k=0
-18+k=0
k=0+18
k=18 Ans
