Solution:

Let the number = x

According to the problem given,

one – seventh of a number exceeds its eleventh part by 100

=> x/7 - x/11 = 100

=> (11x-7x)/77 = 100

=> 4x/77 = 100

=> x = (100 × 77 )/4

=> x = 25 × 77

=> x = 1925

Therefore,

Required number (x) = 1925
