HERE'S THE ANSWER..

________________________________

♠️ Let us assume a square of side ( x )

⏺️ Now according to question one side is increased by 2 meter and adjacent side is reduced is reduced by 2 meter

▶️ Side is increased by 2 meter

✔️ Length ( L ) = x + 2

▶️ Another side is decreased by 2 meter

✔️ Breadth ( B ) = x - 2

♠️ It formed a rectangle of perimeter 48 meter

⏺️ So perimeter of rectangle is

✔️2 ( length + breadth )

=> Perimeter = 2 ( L + B )

=> 48 = 2 [ ( x + 2 ) + ( x - 2 ) ]

=> 48 = 2 [ x - 2 + x - 2 ]

=> 48 = 2 [ x + x ]

=> 2 [ 2 x ] = 48

=> 4 x = 48

=> \boxed{ x \:= \: 12 \: meter}

♠️ The side of original square was 12 meter
