length = x + 5

breadth = x - 5

perimeter = 30 m

perimeter = 2(l +b)

30 = 2( x + 5 + x - 5 )

30 = 2 ( 2x )

30 = 4x

x = \frac{30}{4} = 7.5 cm

the side of the original square is 7.5 cm
