if one side of a square tile is 12 cm, then how many tiles will be in a wall 8 m long and 4.5 m high?​

Area of square=

 {(side)}^{2}

Hence, Area of each tile =

 {12}^{2}  = 12 \times 12 = 144 \: sq.cm

Again, Area of the wall =

(length \times breadth) \\  = (8 \times 4.5)sq.m \\  = (800 \times 450)sq.cm \\

Therefore, No. of tiles required =

 \frac{800 \times 450}{144}  = 2500
