sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-
Let side of square be x m
then,
✞ According to 1st Condition :-
RECTANGLE
- Length(l) = (x + 5)
- Breadth (b) = (x - 5)
- Perimeter = 30m
✞ According to 2nd Condition :-
We know that,
- Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b)
➭ 2(l + b) = 30
➭ ( l + b) = 30/2
➭ (l + b) = 15. ---(1)
Put the above values of l and b in (1), we get,
➭ (x + 5) + (x - 5) = 15
➭ x + x = 15
➭ 2x = 15
➭ x = 15/2
➭ x = 7.5 m
Hence,
- Side of Square = x = 7.5m
