let quantity of tank be x litres
therefore 1/3 of x equal to 80

this implies that x is equal to 240
now 1/2 of 240 is equal to
120 which is the answer.

let the capacity of the tank be x. Then ,
1/3 of it is x/3.
ATQ
x/3= 80
= x = 80 × 3= 240
Therefore , x= 240.
Then , half of it is 240/2 = 120 litres
