p(x)=2x^2+3x+a

p(1/2)=2×1/2×1/2+3/2+a=1/2+3/2+a

=2+a=0

a=-2

and another zero is-

2x^2+4x-x-2

2x(x+2)-1(x+2)

x+2=0

x=-2

hope it helps...

Answer:

px=2x^2+3x+a or 2×(1/2)^2+3×1/2+a=0 or 1/2+3/2+a=0 or a=4/2=2, so a=2
