Solution :-

Let us assume that one zero of the given polynomial x² - 12x + (3k - 1) is m .

So,

→ Other zero = 5 * m = 5m .

then,

→ sum of zeroes = (-b/a) = -(-12/1) = 12

→ m + 5m = 12

→ 6m = 12

→ m = 2

therefore, two zeroes are 2 and 10 .

now,

→ product of zeroes = c/a

→ 2 * 10 = (3k - 1)/1

→ 20 = 3k - 1

→ 3k = 20 + 1

→ 3k = 21

→ k = 7 (Ans.)
