♧♧RULE♧♧

We consider a quadratic equation :

a {x}^{2}  + bx + c = 0

Then, by Sridhar Acharya's rule :

x =  \frac{ - b +  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}  \: and \: x =  \frac{ - b +  \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  + 4ac } }{2a}

♧♧SOLUTION♧♧

Given polynomial, considering as an equation, we get :

 {x}^{2}  - 4x - 1 = 0

By Sridhar Acharya's rule, we get :

x = 2 +  \sqrt{5}  \:  \: and \:  \: x = 2 -  \sqrt{5}
