If one zero of the quadratic polynomial 25 x^ 2 − ( 5 k − 2 ) x − 49 is the negative of the other, find the value of k .

Let one zero be = ß

Other zero =

Sum of zeroes = ß - ß = -b/a

=> 0 = (5k - 2)/25

=> 0 = 5k - 2

=> 5k = 2

=> k = 2/5
