Hey!

_____________

[ @ = Alpha , ß = Beta ]

Let @ and ß be zeroes if the polynomial 4x^2 - 8kx - 9

a = 4 , b = -8k, c = -9

A.T.Q
@ = - ß
That means, @ + ß = 0

[ We know sum of zeroes = -b/a ]

@ + ß = 0

-b/a = 0

-8k/4 = 0

-2k = 0

k = 0

Hope it helps...!!!

Hey \: There!!
____________________

p(x) = {4}^{2} - 8kx - 9

Let \: the \: zeroes \: of \: given \: polynomial \: be \: \alpha \: and \: \beta .
A.T.Q.
 \alpha = - \beta
 \alpha + \beta = 0

We \: know \: that,
Sum \: of \: zeroes = \frac{ - b}{a}
 \alpha + \beta = \frac{ - b}{a}
0 = \frac{ - b}{a}
0 = \frac{ - 8k}{4}
 - 8k = 0
k = 0
