if oranges are sold at ₹45 per dozen, manu can buy 6 dozen of them with the money he has. find the decrease in the number of oranges he can buy it the cost is increased by per ₹9 per dozen

5 dozzen

each orange price was 5 ruppes while we think 45 rupees a dozen then he have 270 rupees to buy 6 dozen now as per increased rate of 54(45+9) he have capacity to buy with 270 rupees only 5 dozen

1 dozen-₹45

6 dozens-₹45×6

=₹270

Manu has 270 rupees

ATQ

Manu can purchase 72(12×6 dozens) oranges because he has only 270 rupees.

45+9=54 rupees

54×5=270 rupees you can do it yourself by multipliying

So manu can purchase only 5 dozens of oranges because of the increase in rate..

so

6 dozens-5 dozens

72-60

12 oranges Answer
