Given that,

(x + y, 4) = (6, x - y)

Thus,

x + y = 6___________(1)

x - y = 4____________(2)

Adding equations 1 and 2, we obtain :

\longrightarrow x + y + x - y = 6 + 4

\longrightarrow 2x = 10

\longrightarrow x = 5

Putting x = 5 in (2), we get :

\longrightarrow 5 - y = 4

\longrightarrow y = 5 - 4

\longrightarrow y = 1

Therefore, for the above system of equations; x = 5 and y = 1.
