With no sensory inputs the brain could not see, hear, smell, taste, touch and could not sense bodily orientation, pain, and not could it sense what position the body and all of its appendages were in.

That would mean it could not direct the body to find food or water, could not direct it to find a reproductive partner, could not direct it away from danger nor into safe shelter, could not direct the body to protect itself from additional harm when injured, and could not learn to communicate or exchange information with others.
