Actually we can't say that sun is burning (just like burning of wood or any thing) .

It's just glowing like other star who are present in this universe. It's just a big ball of gas whis is form by a process nuclear fusion , it take place cores of years to form such a big star.

Sun is just a star like other stars. It's is the nearest star.
