The value of k is 3.

Given-P-1 is a factor of p^4+p^2+p-k

Find the value of k

Let p-1=0

So, p-1

For p-1 to be a factor the equation on submitting p=1 should equate to 0

p^4+p^2+p-k=0

(1)^4+(1)^2+1-k=0

1+1+1-k=0

k=3

Hence the value of k is 3.
