Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

If P(2) = 0 for polynomial P(x) then one factor of P(x) is ...........

To find:Factors of P(x)

(A) (x + 2)

(B) (x - 2)

(C) (x² + 2)

(D) ( x² − 2)

Solution:

As we know that on putting x= a,if p(x) becomes zero then a is a zero of polynomial.

And (x-a) is a factor of that polynomial.

Here ,

if p(2)=0

i.e.

On putting x= 2 , p(x) becomes zero,

So, 2 is one of the zero of polynomial.

Thus,

(x-2) is one of the factor of P(x).

Option B is correct.

Hope it helps you.

B option is correct because we have to keep 2 as x value then the equation will be zero ( 0 )

so answer is B option thank u dear...
