Given :  p/2q = 11/5

To Find  :  (p - 2q)/(p + 2q)

1️⃣ 3/8

2️⃣ 8/3

3️⃣ 2/9

4️⃣ 9/2

Solution:

p/2q = 11/5

Subtracting 1 from both sides

=> p/2q - 1 = 11/5 - 1

=> (p - 2q)/2q  = 6/5

=> p - 2q  = 2q(6/5)   Eq1

p/2q = 11/5

Adding 1 from both sides

=> p/2q + 1 = 11/5 - 1

=> (p+ 2q)/2q  = 16/5

=> p + 2q  = 2q(16/5)   Eq2

Eq1 / Eq2

=> (p - 2q)/(p + 2q)  = 2q(6/5)   / 2q(16/5)

=>  (p - 2q)/(p + 2q)  = 6/16

=>  (p - 2q)/(p + 2q)  = 3/8

3/8 is the correct answer
