Answer:

x=4

y=3

Step-by-step explanation:

since P is the mid point of AB

P(x,y)=\frac{x_{1}+ x_{2}}{y}  ,  \frac{y_{1}+ y_{2}}{y}

P(3,5)=\frac{2+x}{2}  ,  \frac{3+y}{2}

\frac{2+x}{2}=3

2+x=6

x=6-2

x=4

\frac{3+y}{2}=5

3+y=10

y=10-7

y=3

The vaue of point B is  ( 4, 7).

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

P(3, 5) is the midpoint of line segment joining the points A(2, 3) and B(x, y).

To find, the value of B(x, y) = ?

We know that,

Midpoint = (\dfrac{x_{1}+x_{2}}{2},\dfrac{y_{1}+y_{2}}{2})

\dfrac{2+x}{2}=3

⇒ 2 + x = 3 × 2 = 6

⇒ x = 6 - 2 = 4

Also,

\dfrac{3+y}{2} =5

⇒ 3 + y = 5 × 2 = 10

⇒ y = 10 - 3 = 7

∴  x = 4 and y = 7

Hence, the vaue of point B is  ( 4, 7).
