As per the data given in the question,

We have to determine the value of the expression p^2-q

As per question,

it is given that,

The value of p = 8 and the value of q = 5

So, for finding the value of given expression, we will put the value of p and q in place of p and q in above expression.

Thus we will get,

p^2-q = 8^2-5\\=>64-5 =59

Hence, value of the expression will be 59.

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the expression.

        Given data:- p=8,q=5.

        To find:-Value of the given expression p^{2} -q.

        Solution:-

  • To solve the above equation we will follow the BODMAS rule.
  • It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.

        where,

       B= bracket\\O= order of power or rules\\D= division\\M= multiplication\\A= addition\\S= subtraction\\

        Therefore, put the value of p and q in the above equation,

         p^{2} -q\\=8^{2} -5\\=64-5\\=59.

       Hence we will get the value 59.
