if p (a/2,b/3) is the midpoint of the line segment joining the points A(-4,3) and B(-2,3)​

Mid point of the line segment joining the points A(2a,4) and B(−2,3b) is C(1,2a+1)

Mid point of AB=((2a−2)/2,(4+3b)/2) ........(1)

Mid point of AB=(1,2a+1) .....(2) (given)

Now, from (1) and (2)

1=(2a−2)/2

⇒a=2

and 2a+1=(4+3b)/2

10−4=3b

or b=2

Answer: a=2 and b=2.
