(5p-15+4p+32)/10=2

17+9p=20

p=3/9=1/3

p=a-3

(1/3)+3=a

10/3=a

Answer:

a = 10/3 or 3.33

Step-by-step explanation:

(p-3)/2 + {2(p+8)} /5 = 2

=> (a-3-3) /2 + {2 (a -3 +8)} /5 =2

=> (a-6)/2 + { 2(a+5)} /5 = 2

=> (a-6)/2 + { 2a +10} / 5 = 2

now take LCM of 2 &5 .. i.e. 10

=> {5(a-6)}/ 10 + {2 (2a+10)} /10 = 2

=> { 5a -30}/ 10 + { 4a + 20} / 10 = 2

=> [ 5a - 30 + 4a + 20 ] / 10 = 2

=> 5a - 30 + 4a + 20 = 2 × 10

=> 9a - 10 = 20

=> 9a = 20 + 10

=> 9a = 30

=> a = 30/ 9

=> a = 10 / 3 ( you can end here if u want)

=> a = 3.33..
