Then, P(A) = 3k -----(1)

And

1 - P(A) = 2k __ [ ∵ P(A') = 1 - P(A) ]

1 = 2k + 3k

1 = 5k

=> k = 1/5

Therefore, P(A) = 3k = 3/5
