Answer:

15 Days

Step-by-step explanation:

If p alone does a work,he takes 25 days more than time taken by p and q working together to complete a work.But q alone takes 9 days more than time taken by p and q working together to complete a work

Let say p and q working together complete work in D days

Then P alone complete works in D + 25 days

& Q alone Completes work in D + 9 Days

P's 1 day work = 1/(D + 25)

Q's 1 Day work = 1/(D + 9)

P & Q Together 1 Day work = 1/D

=> 1/(D + 25)  + 1/(D + 9) = 1/D

=> D(D + 9 + D + 25) = (D + 25)(D + 9)

=> 2D² + 34D = D² + 34D + 225

=> D² = 225

=> D = 15

p and q togethere finish the work in 15 Days
