let x be the two roots....

x2-3x+2=0

x2-2x-x+2=0

x(x-2)-1(x-2)=0

x-2=0 or x-1=0

x=2 or x=1

now put the values of x in 1/p & 1/q

1/p=1/1. 1/q= 1/2

=1
