  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: {x}^{2} + 2x + 1 = 0 \\  =  >  {x}^{2} + x + x + 1 = 0 \\  =  > x(x + 1) + 1(x + 1) = 0 \\  =  > (x + 1)(x + 1) = 0 \\  =  > x = ( - 1).


Therefore,
p = q = (-1).
 \:  \:  \:  \:  \: {p}^{3} +  {q}^{3} \\  =   {( - 1)}^{3} +  {( - 1)}^{3} \\  =  - 1 - 1 \\  = ( - 2).
