Eq. x^2+px+q=0

p,q are roots of eq.

Then,
product of roots,pq=q(in form of c/a)

=>p=1. ..(i)

And sum of roots,p+q=-p(-b/a)

=>2p=-q

=>q=-2(1)=-2. [from (i)]

So,p=1 and q=-2

Hope it helps.
