P varies directly with Q

P = kQ where k is the constant

Since the constant is given as 1/6

P = 1/6 Q

Find Q when P = 7

7 = 1/6 Q

Multiply by 6 on both sides:

42 = Q

Switch Side:

Q = 42

Answer: 42

Answer:-

Note:- if p varies directly with q

then,

p/q = k

here,k is the constant of variation

p = 7, then k = 1/6

=)p/q = 1/6

=) 7/q = 1/6

ACCORDING THE QUESTION;

Q×1 = 7×6

Q= 42
