If P denotes perimeter of a rectangle, 1 denotes its length and b denotes its breadth, find
(i) 1, if P = 38 cm and b = 7 cm
(ii) b, if P = 3.2 m and 1 = 100 cm
(iii) P, if I = 2 m and b = 75 cm

Answer:

1)8cm

2)0.6 m

3)6m

Step-by-step explanation:

1. length of rectangle when breadth and perimeter is known is length=perimeter-2(breadth)/2

thus 38-(2×7)/2=8

this length is 8

2.bredth of recatnangle when permiter and length is known is breadth=perimeter-2(length)/2

3.2 meters=320cm

320-2(100)/2=

320-200/2=60

thus breadth is 60

60 cm=0.6 m

3.

permiter of rectangle=2(length + breadth)

2 meters=200 cm

2(200 + 75)=400+150=600cm

600 cm =6m
