x = m1x2+m2x1÷m1+m2= 0.8
y=m1y2+m2y1÷m1+m2=-2.6

AP/AB = 3/7
which implies
AP/PB=3/4

Let P(x,y) divide AB in the ratio m:n.
m=3 n=4

Using section formula,

x = {3.2 + 4.(-2)}/3+4
x = (6-8)/7
x = -2/7

Similarly,

y = {3.(-4) + 4.(-2)}/3+4
y = (-12-8)/7
y = -20/7

Thus P(-2/7,-20/7)
