If P(E) = 0.05, what is the probability of ‘not E’?

SOLUTION                                                                                                                        P(E) = 0.05
also, P(E) + P(not E) = 1
⇒ P(not E) = 1 - P(E)
⇒ P(not E) = 1 - 0.05
⇒ P(not E) = 0.95

we know that p(e) + p(not e) = 1

therefore p(not e) = 1 - p(e)

here , p(e) = 0.05

= 0.95

the probability of (not e) = 0.95
