Given :

  • P(E)=0.38

To find :

  • probability of not occuring of an event i.e P(not E)

Formula used :

  • P(E) + P(not E) = 1

Solution :

P(E)=0.38

Now we will find P(not E) by using the formula :-

 \implies \: P(E) + P(not \: E) = 1

\implies \: 0.38+ P(not \: E) = 1

\implies \: P(not \: E) = 1 - 0.38

\implies \: P(not \: E) =0.62

Therefore , probability of not occuring of an event i.e P(not E) = 0.62

Answer :

P(not \: E) =0.62
