if p(e)=0.42
then, p(not e) = 1- 0.42
= 0.58

Given : P(E) = 0.42
To find : P(not E) =?
P(E) + P(not E) = 1
0.42 + P(not E) = 1
P(not E) = 1.00 - 0.42
P(not E) = 0.58
