PS + PS'  =   10 if  P is a point on the ellipse x²/16  + y²/25  = 1  and foci are S & S'

Step-by-step explanation:

x²/16  + y²/25  = 1

=> x²/4²  + y²/5² = 1

Comparing with

x²/a² + y²/b² = 1

=> a = 4   & b = 5

PS + PS'  =  2b

=> PS + PS'  =   2 * 5

=> PS + PS'  =   10
