If δp is the increment of pressure on a normally consolidated saturated soil mass, as per terzaghi's theory at the instant of application of pressure increment i.e., when time t = 0, what is the pore pressure developed in the soil mass? zero very much less than δp equal to δp greater than δp

Consolidation of a saturated soil means the act of the soil loosing the water that was initially absorbed by the soil to pave the space to be occupied by air the increment of pressure to this soil will first make the soil to reduce in size the intense saturation will make the soil to loose all its water and eventually cracks. the cracks may widen up to 50 cms.
