Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

p(m)=m^2-1

To find:-

Find the values of p(1) and p(2) ?

Solution:-

Given Polynomial is p(m)=m^2-1 ------(1)

Now,

Put m = 1 in the equation (1) then

=> p(1) = (1)^2 -1

=> p(1) = 1-1

=> p(1) = 0

and put m = 2 in the equation (2) then

=>p(2) = (2)^2-1

=> p(2) = 4-1

=> p(2) = 3

Therefore,p(1) = 0 and p(2) = 3

Answer:-

The value of p(1) = 0

The value of p(2) = 3
