Given:

If p:q = 1\frac{1}{3} : 1\frac{1}{2} and q:r = \frac{1}{2} : \frac{1}{3}

To find:

p:r

Solution:

We have,

p:q = 1\frac{1}{3} : 1\frac{1}{2}

\implies p : q =  \frac{4}{3} : \frac{3}{2}

multiplying L.C.M. of the denominators to each ratio

\implies p : q =  \frac{4}{3}\times 6 : \frac{3}{2}\times 6

\implies p : q =  4\times 2 : 3\times 3

\implies p : q =  8 : 9 ....... (i)

and

q:r = \frac{1}{2} : \frac{1}{3}

multiplying L.C.M. of the denominators to each ratio

\implies q : r =  \frac{1}{2}\times 6 : \frac{1}{3}\times 6

\implies q : r =  3: 2 ....... (ii)

Now, multiplying eq. (i) & (ii), we get

\frac{p}{q} \times \frac{q}{r}  = \frac{8}{9}\times \frac{3}{2}

\implies \frac{p}{r}  = \frac{24}{18}

\implies \frac{p}{r}  = \frac{4}{3}

Thus, \boxed{\bold{p:r =4:3 }}.
