Step-by-step explanation:

q = 12-p

pq = 27

p (12-p) = 21

12 p - p² = 21

p² -12 p +21 = 0

on finding the root of above equation for p  , we get

p = 9.87 or 2.12

q = q = 12-p  = 2.12 or 9.87

means when p = 9.87 q = 2.12

when p = 2.12 q = 9.87

P³+Q³ =   9.87³+ 2.12³

            = 961.5 + 9.52

              = 971
