If p+q and pq are known then quadratic equation corresponding to roots as p and q is given by,

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

\sf\green{  ⇒x²-(p+q)\: x+pq\:= 0}

⇒x²-11x + 18 =0 , substitute the given values

x² -9x -2x +18 =0 ,split the middle term

( x² - 9x ) + ( -2x +18 )=0, group pair of terms

⇒x(x−9)−2(x−9)=0, factor each binomials

⇒(x−9)(x−2)=0, factor out common factor

\sf\red{  ⇒x=9 \:or \:x=2, \:set \:each\: factor\: to \:0}

Hence p and q are 9 and 2
