putting p=22-q

(22-q) × q= 40

22q - q^2 -40 = 0

0 = q^2 - 22q +40

0 = q^2 -2q -20q +40

0 = q (q - 2) - 20 ( q - 2 )

0 = (q-20) + (q-2)

q= 20, 2
