P÷Q=5÷4 or P/Q=5/4......equation(1)

Q÷R= 1 1/2 ÷ 1 1/3

or Q/R= (1 1/2) /(1 1/3)

Simplifying Q/R= [(1×2+1)/2]/[(1×3+1)/3]

=(3/2) / (4/3)

=(3/2)×(3/4)=9/8

So Q/R= 9/8..........(2)

Multiplying (1) and(2)

(P/Q) x (Q/R)= 5/4 × 9/8

P/R= (5×9)/(4×8)= 45/32
