7
p²+q²=(p+q)²-2pq
=7²-2×12
=49-24
=25
ok

leany: possible values:4and 3 then 4 plus 3=7,4×3=12 hence 4 power 2 +3power 2 gives 16+9=25
fika1233: how

hi friend hope this answer helps you

given: p+q=7  ,  pq=12

find: p² + q²

identity used: (a+b)² = a²+2ab+b²

answer: (p+q)² = p² + 2pq + q²

             (7)²  = p² + q² + 2×12

              49 = p² + q² + 24

              49 - 24 = p² + q²

                 25  =  p² + q²

therefore  p²+q² = 25
