If (p+q) and (p-q) are the sides of a right triangle. Find the hypotenuse.

let the base and perpendicular be (p+q) and (p-q)

To find any side of right angled triangle we have to use Pythagorus theorem (P.T.)

P.T :- hypotenuse²= base²+ perpendicular ²

H² = (p+q)² +(p-q)² [use identities of (a+b)² ,(a-b)²]

H² = p²+q²+2pq +p²+q²-2pq

H² = 2p²+2q² (+2pq-2pq =0)

H² = 2(p²+q²)

H = under root of all [2(p²+q²)]
