If P + Q is equals to 4 and p square + Q square is equals to 7 then the value of p q

Answer:

p+q=4

p² + q² = 7

pq= ?

we know that

(p + q)² = p² + q² + 2pq

(4)²       =  7 + 2pq

16         = 7+ 2pq

-2pq     = 7 - 16

            = - 9

pq        = -9 / 2
