Given :p(x) = 2x³-11x²-4x+5

g(x) = 2x +1

To prove : g(x) is not the factor of p(x)

solution:

On dividing we get the

quotient = x²-6x+1

remainder = 4

since , the remainder is not equal to zero

The g(x) is not the factor of p(x)

hence proved
